RSVP DEADLINE IS THE FRIDAY BEFORE THE LUNCHEON, AT NOON. In order to receive the pre-paid luncheon price of $25 for law student members/$30 for all other members/$35 for non-members, you MUST pre-pay with your credit card on the website BY THE RSVP DEADLINE. DO NOT MAIL IN CHECKS. If you make a reservation but do not pay on the website with your credit card, you must pay an additional $5 at the door ($30 for law student members/$35 for all other members/$40 non-members) by check or cash. After the registration deadline has passed, we do not take additional reservations. However, you may attend without a reservation as a walk-in, provided we have space. Capacity and spaces available are listed on the registration page. Walk-ins must pay $30 for law student members/$35 for all other members/$40 non-members, check or cash. Our capacity is limited, so we strongly recommend that you register by the deadline and prepay on the website using a credit card in order to ensure that you will have a place to sit and your requested meal.
Cancellation Policy:
You may cancel without penalty up until the registration deadline. If you cancel BEFORE the registration deadline, you will receive a credit on your Scottsdale Bar account, which can be applied to a future event. We do not give refunds.

If you prepay for the luncheon and cancel AFTER the registration deadline of NOON on the Friday before the luncheon, we cannot provide credits or refunds.

Reservations that are not prepaid by the registration deadline, and are either cancelled after the registration deadline or “no shows,” will be billed at the at-the-door price.

We are required to guarantee the number of meals to Gainey Ranch Golf Club, and we pay for those meals even if you must cancel after the registration deadline.

Stasy will give an introduction and/or refresher on family law issues that exist in the majority of cases here in Maricopa County.  All lawyers should be aware of these issues and recent changes in family law so they can better advise their clients in various business, civil and probate matters. Divorce, custody, separations, grandparent rights, pre and post nuptial agreements - these are all issues that can affect other areas of clients’ assets. A basic knowledge of this area of the law is essential for all lawyers.

Ms. Click has been practicing law for over 24 years. She is a former prosecutor and a former law school adjunct professor in the areas of Family Law and Community Property. Ms. Click is a seasoned litigator and has tried hundreds of family law and criminal cases. She has been in private practice since 2004. 
 
Ms. Click teaches seminars on family law and trial practice for local bar organizations, and speaks on issues of family law for various community organizations.  Ms. Click is an active volunteer for Community Legal Services as well as Wills for Heroes, receiving the 2010 President's Volunteer Service Award. Ms. Click limits her practice to family law cases.


*The State Bar of Arizona  does not approve or accredit CLE activities for the Mandatory Continuing Legal Education requirement.  This activity may qualify for up to 1.0 hour toward your annual CLE requirement for the State Bar of Arizona, including 0 hour of professional responsibility.


When you register, you will be asked to indicate your meal choice: simply type REGULAR or VEGETARIAN (note the descriptions below).  If you require a special meal other than the regular or vegetarian selections due to dietary restrictions, please type in your requirements.

Share the fun!  Invite a friend to experience the networking, social and educational opportunities of the Scottsdale Bar Association!  Current members may invite a prospective member to attend an upcoming lunch for free.  Here are the rules:

1.  The guest must be eligible for membership in the Scottsdale Bar Association.  See www.scottsdalebar.org, click on Membership Information, then Membership Categories.

2.  The guest cannot be a former Scottsdale Bar member.

3.  The guest cannot have attended lunchfor free in the past.

4.  The member must attend the luncheon with the guest.

5. The member must register him/herself for the luncheon, then contact Paige Martin at paigemartinesq@aol.com with the guest’s name and email address, and choice of regular or vegetarian meal, so that she can register the guest.  Member registration and the request for guest registration must be completed before the registration cut-off on the Friday before the luncheon, at noon.

6.  The member can only invite one guest to any luncheon.

7.  The member is responsible for following up with his/her guest after the luncheon to invite the guest to join Scottsdale Bar.

8.  The Board of Directors reserves the right to limit the number of guests attending each luncheon.
