RSVP DEADLINE IS THE FRIDAY BEFORE THE LUNCHEON, AT NOON. In order to receive the pre-paid luncheon price of $25 for law student members/$30 for all other members/$35 for non-members, you MUST pre-pay with your credit card on the website BY THE RSVP DEADLINE. DO NOT MAIL IN CHECKS. If you make a reservation but do not pay on the website with your credit card, you must pay an additional $5 at the door ($30 for law student members/$35 for all other members/$40 non-members) by check or cash. After the registration deadline has passed, we do not take additional reservations. However, you may attend without a reservation as a walk-in, provided we have space. Capacity and spaces available are listed on the registration page. Walk-ins must pay $30 for law student members/$35 for all other members/$40 non-members, check or cash. Our capacity is limited, so we strongly recommend that you register by the deadline and prepay on the website using a credit card in order to ensure that you will have a place to sit and your requested meal.
Cancellation Policy:
You may cancel without penalty up until the registration deadline. If you cancel BEFORE the registration deadline, you will receive a credit on your Scottsdale Bar account, which can be applied to a future event. We do not give refunds.

If you prepay for the luncheon and cancel AFTER the registration deadline of NOON on the Friday before the luncheon, we cannot provide credits or refunds.

Reservations that are not prepaid by the registration deadline, and are either cancelled after the registration deadline or “no shows,” will be billed at the at-the-door price.

We are required to guarantee the number of meals to Gainey Ranch Golf Club, and we pay for those meals even if you must cancel after the registration deadline.

HIGHLIGHTS OF ARIZONA’S NEW LLC ACT

Limited liability companies have become the business entity of choice in Arizona and the new Act has the potential to touch every aspect of law starting September 1, 2019. From what’s new to how operating agreements should change - this program will cover the highlights of the new act, including the new statutory fiduciary duties, rights of transferees and dissolution provisions. All designed to give you a heads up, regardless of your particular practice area.

Quinn DeAngelis participated on the State Bar’s drafting committee for Arizona’s new LLC Act for five years, presented at the 2018 State Bar Convention after its enactment and co-authored an article on the new act in the March issue of the Arizona Attorney titled “Arizona’s New Limited Liability Company Act - Voting, Transfer, Dissolution and Information Rights.”

Quinn DeAngelis assists a variety of families, closely held business owners and professionals create, coordinate and organize their estate, business and succession plans. He is Board Certified in Estate and Trust Law by the State bar of Arizona, has an AV* Preeminent rating from Martindale Hubble and a 10/10 rating from AVVO. Quinn formerly chaired the Probate and Trust Law Section of the State Bar of Arizona and served on its executive council between 2001 and 2005. Quinn is a 1989 graduate of Arizona State University, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance. He earned his law degree from Southern Methodist University in 1992.




*The State Bar of Arizona  does not approve or accredit CLE activities for the Mandatory Continuing Legal Education requirement.  This activity may qualify for up to 1.0 hour toward your annual CLE requirement for the State Bar of Arizona, including 0 hour of professional responsibility.



When you register, you will be asked to indicate your meal choice: simply type REGULAR or VEGETARIAN (note the descriptions below).  If you require a special meal other than the regular or vegetarian selections due to dietary restrictions, please type in your requirements.

Share the fun!  Invite a friend to experience the networking, social and educational opportunities of the Scottsdale Bar Association!  Current members may invite a prospective member to attend an upcoming lunch for free.  Here are the rules:

1.  The guest must be eligible for membership in the Scottsdale Bar Association.  See www.scottsdalebar.org, click on Membership Information, then Membership Categories.

2.  The guest cannot be a former Scottsdale Bar member.

3.  The guest cannot have attended lunchfor free in the past.

4.  The member must attend the luncheon with the guest.

5. The member must register him/herself for the luncheon, then contact Paige Martin at paigemartinesq@aol.com with the guest’s name and email address, and choice of regular or vegetarian meal, so that she can register the guest.  Member registration and the request for guest registration must be completed before the registration cut-off on the Friday before the luncheon, at noon.

6.  The member can only invite one guest to any luncheon.

7.  The member is responsible for following up with his/her guest after the luncheon to invite the guest to join Scottsdale Bar.

8.  The Board of Directors reserves the right to limit the number of guests attending each luncheon.
