JUDICIAL NOMINEES ANNOUNCED
The Maricopa County Commission on Trial Court Appointments has recommended 10 candidates to Governor Jan Brewer for two openings on the Maricopa County Superior Court.
Nominees for the openings created by the resignation of Judge Michael R. McVey are Steven K. Holding, 59, Republican, of Cave Creek, a Commissioner with the Maricopa County Superior Court; Steven P. Lynch, 48, Democrat, of Chandler, a Commissioner for the Maricopa County Superior Court; Kathleen H. Mead, 54, Republican, of Peoria, a Commissioner with the Maricopa County Superior Court; Joseph P. Mikitish, 46, Republican, Unit Chief with the Arizona Attorney General’s Office; and Shellie Smith, 49, Democrat, of Phoenix, a Commissioner for the Maricopa County Superior Court.
Nominees for the opening created by the appointment of Judge Eddward P. Ballinger, Jr. to the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Arizona are Jay R. Adleman, 39, Republican, of Phoenix, a Commissioner for the Maricopa County Superior Court; Theodore Campagnolo, 58, Democrat, of Phoenix, Assistant Attorney General with the Arizona Attorney General’s Office; Colleen L. French, 56, Republican, of Phoenix, a Commissioner with the Maricopa County Superior Court; Michael D. Hintze, 54, Democrat, of Phoenix, a Commissioner with the Maricopa County Superior Court; and Stephen M. Hopkins, 51, Republican, of Phoenix, sole practitioner in the firm of Hopkins Law Offices, P.L.C.
Governor Brewer will make the appointments.
