Lynda C. Shely, is an Arizona partner in Rosing, Pott & Strohbehn (RPS), in partnership with Zelms Erlich Lenkov, where she provides legal ethics and Alternative Business Structure (ABS) law firm regulatory advice to lawyers and law firms. Lynda was the 2020 – 2023 chair of the ABA Standing Committee on Ethics and Professional Responsibility, an Arizona Delegate in the ABA House of Delegates, and currently volunteers with several other nonbillable groups involved in legal ethics matters, including as a member of the Arizona Supreme Court’s Alternative Business Structures Committee, the Arizona Supreme Court’s Steering Committee on AI and the Courts, the ABA Standing Committee on Professional Regulation, and the State Bar of Arizona Ethics Advisory Group. She is a past president of the Association of Professional Responsibility Lawyers, the National ABS Law Firm Association, and the Scottsdale Bar Association and has been an adjunct professor at all Arizona law schools, teaching professional responsibility. Before joining RPS she had her own solo practice for 21 years. Prior to opening her own firm, she was the Director of Lawyer Ethics for the State Bar of Arizona. Lynda started out as an attorney with Morgan, Lewis & Bockius in Washington, DC. Lynda received her BA from Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, PA and her JD from Catholic University in Washington, DC. She has received several awards for her contributions to the legal profession including most recently the 2022 Maricopa County Bar Association Member of the Year Award, the 2023 Maricopa County Bar Hall of Fame, and the 2024 Arizona Women Lawyers’ Association Sarah Herring Sorin Award.
David M. Majchrzak is a seasoned ethicist, civil litigator, and certified specialist by the State Bar of California in legal malpractice law, is listed in Best Lawyers in America and Super Lawyers, and is rated AV®-Preeminent™ by Martindale-Hubbell. He is the general counsel of and a partner at Rosing Pott & Strohbehn. Mr. Majchrzak represents lawyers, law firms, and judges in matters involving risk management, discipline defense, and malpractice claims. He has serves as an expert on legal ethics issues. And his work has been recognized with the Harry B. Sondheim Professional Responsibility Award, which celebrates outstanding long-term contribution to the advancement of attorney professional responsibility standards in California. Mr. Majchrzak is active and widely visible within the legal ethics community. He currently serves as the president of the Association of Professional Responsibility Lawyers, a member of Arizona’s Ethics Advisory Group, the chair of the ABA working group on Model Rule 5.5, a member of the editorial board of the ABA/Bloomberg Law Lawyers’ Manual on Professional Conduct, a liaison to the ABA Standing Committee on Ethics and Professional Responsibility, a member of the ABA National Conference on Professional Responsibility Planning Committee, and a member of the ABA’s House of Delegates. Mr. Majchrzak also served as the co-chair of California Lawyers Association's first Ethics Committee; as a three-year member of the State Bar of California’s Committee on Professional Responsibility and Conduct, and chair of its outreach committee; as a three-year member of the American Bar Association’s Committee on Professionalism, and chair of its regulatory subcommittee; and as a chair of the San Diego County Bar Association’s Legal Ethics Committee. In 2015, Mr. Majchrzak revived the then-abandoned Ethics Quarterly, and has continued as one of its two editors. He has also taught professional responsibility as an adjunct law school professor. Mr. Majchrzak is also active within the general legal community. In 2022, he served as the president of the San Diego County Bar Association. Mr. Majchrzak also served for four years as president of the William L. Todd, Jr. chapter of the American Inns of Court.
