The Judicial Selection Advisory Board is accepting applications for the position of Judge of the Phoenix Municipal Court. The Court is currently recruiting for two judicial vacancies.

DUTIES: Presiding over a variety of trial court cases including criminal misdemeanor complaints, traffic charges, jury and non-jury trials, pre-trial conferences, arraignments, motions, order of protection hearings and other court proceedings. The position will require familiarity and application of relevant state statutes, city ordinances, Supreme Court Rules, evidentiary rules and case law. This position is filled by appointment of the City Council to a specified term. The City of Phoenix has paused plans to implement a federal mandate requiring all city employees be vaccinated against COVID-19. Community Legal Services (CLS), based in Phoenix, Arizona, seeks a dynamic and motivated leader to be its next Executive Director. The new Executive Director will be responsible for leading an incredible team of 80 staff, including 28 attorneys, and managing an annual budget of approximately $7 million.  While a licensed attorney is desired for this position, other applicable experience and skills may be substituted for experience practicing law.  For example, such experience and skills may include, among other things, significant experience leading an organization, successful fundraising in a non-profit environment, and experience working in the public interest arena providing services to underserved communities.

The United States Attorney's Office (USAO), District of Arizona is seeking an attorney experienced in civil litigation attorney to serve as an Assistant United States Attorney in its Phoenix, Arizona. The USAO serves as the law firm for all aspects of federal litigation including the prosecution of federal crimes, recovery of fraudulently obtained government funds, civil fraud, collection and enforcement actions, and defending the U.S. Government's interests in civil cases, including appeal.

The work of the Civil Division mirrors the varied activities of the federal government and offers a challenging and diverse caseload. Civil Division AUSAs handle affirmative and defensive matters at both the trial and appellate levels. This position's primary responsibility will be defensive litigation in the United States District and Bankruptcy Court.
